Spring Sunday Sewing

I was busy today - cut two tops last night, sewed them this morning. I then cut out this adorable bag and sewed it up as well.

I found this patriotic knit at Joann's and bought enough to do mother-daughter coordinating tops. Mine is Simplicity 1805, while Gracie's is from the Summer 2007 Ottobre magazine - design #33.

Gracie was happy with this set of tops - no small feat with a picky ten year old.

I think it will be fun to wear these together - especially for summer holidays.

My top and hers are both cold shoulder designs, but I like the gathered and draped effect.

For her, the more simple cut is perfect.

New Jalie patterns!

I was very excited to try out some of the new Jalie patterns for Gracie. Here's Pika (just the sports bra) with Louluxe skort in spandex mystique from Joann's.

I made her a size 10 (she is a size 9) so she'd have a little growth room.
