I was prepared to draft my own pattern, but I came across Simplicity 8275 - a mermaid blanket in child, adult, and doll size (also fits a kitty!) Plus, it has a boy-friendly version with a shark.
The big boys have decided they can't wait to go pick out fabric for their own shark blankets!
